Annie Bailey is the Regional Advisor. She is a children’s author, songwriter, and mom to four boys. She loves laughing, reading, playing the piano, soccer, biking and baking. Doubleday Books for Young Readers will release Annie’s first board books, 10 LITTLE TRACTORS and 10 LITTLE EXCAVATORS, in Fall 2021 and Spring 2022. Abrams Appleseed will release her first picture book, MUD!, in Spring 2022. She has also released a children’s album titled THERE IS JOY and served on the 2015 and 2016 Best in Rhyme Award committee. Annie lives in rural Idaho in a renovated farmhouse complete with her very own train car. (Which, of course, has time traveling capabilities.) Angie Lucas is the Assistant Regional Advisor. Angie has been a magazine editor, advertising copywriter, and content marketer, but picture books are her favorite medium of all. She sold her first book, My Big, Dumb, Invisible Dragon (SoundsTrue, 2019), directly to the publisher before signing with her agent in 2020. She is now repped by Allison Hellegers of Stimola Literary Studio. Angie has also completed three novels for adults in an upcoming seven-book series, which she plans to self-publish under a pseudonym. Angie loves em dashes, ampersands, freshly sharpened pencils, Jane Austen, and ooey-gooey cinnamon rolls. Manelle Oliphant is the Regional Illustrator Coordinator. Manelle received a BFA in Illustration from BYU-Idaho. She lives in Salt Lake City with her husband and two cats, Muggy and Drizzle. She loves cooking and watching too many British murder mysteries and period dramas on Netflix.
