Travis Rawlings is the Regional Advisor for Utah/Southern Idaho. He is a former 6th grade teacher who has spent the last 15 years in the world of corporate training. He is a married father of four, and writes middle grade mysteries. Travis has been a SCBWI member since 1999, and has volunteered in a number of different roles before becoming the Regional Advisor for the Utah/Southern Idaho region. His number one goal for our region is to create a strong community for our writers and illustrators. This includes activities to bring people together, support each other, network, build relationships, learn and improve our craft, and to help each other through the process of publication and promotion of our work. Travis is based in Utah.

Based in outside of Boise in Eagle, Idaho, she is the contact person for Southern Idaho events, The Great Critique, the Annual Idaho Conference on Youth and Children's Literature and Writing, and Idaho critique groups.
Sherry Meidell and her husband have raised five boys. dogs, snakes, and iguanas. The boys were the most challenging and the most rewarding. Sherry loves watercolors, mountain biking, hiking in Zions National Park, my sketch book, kneaded erasers and the smell of a fresh box of picture books. She has illustrated three books written by Faye Gibbons and published by Boyds Mills Press: EMMA JO'S SONG, FULL STEAM AHEAD, and THE DAY THE PICTURE MAN CAME. She has also illustrated DR. WELCH AND THE GREAT GRAPE PROBLEM by Mary Lou Carney and THE CENTAUR by May Swenson. Sherry loves stories and creating pictures in a book that come alive when they are read to a child.
