Ally Condie is the author of the MATCHED Trilogy, a #1 New York Times and international bestseller. MATCHED was chosen as one of YALSA’s 2011 Teens’ Top Ten and named as one of Publisher’s Weekly’s Best Children’s Books of 2010. The sequels, CROSSED and REACHED, were also critically acclaimed and received starred reviews, and all three books are available in 30+ languages. Disney has optioned the film rights for the series.
Ally lives in Utah with her husband and their four children. In her spare time she loves reading, writing, eating, running, thinking about ways to get back to London, and listening to her husband play guitar.
Ann Dee Ellis
Ann Dee Ellis is the critically acclaimed author of This is What I Did:, Everything is Fine, and out May 1st, The End, or Something Like That. Receiving starred reviews and having her books named as one of ALA's best books for young adults and VOYA quick picks for reluctant readers, among other lists, Ellis's writing has been described as compulsive and thought-provoking, telling and provocative, impressionistic, elliptical and full of feeling.
Ann Dee teaches creative writing at Brigham Young University and enjoys cleaning nothing, doing water aerobics, and eating buckets of popcorn. She lives with her husband and four loud boys in the foothills of Provo, Utah.
Formally trained at Brigham Young University and Laguna College of Art and Design, Ben Sowards creates paintings and illustrations that are gathering national attention. The span of his diverse portfolio is unified by the intensity of his commitment to visual detail and a unique sensitivity to the subtleties of human emotion. He loves the preparation, research, and travel necessary to create images worthy of the individuals and themes he strives to represent.
When he is not working on his own projects, he is teaching others how to paint both traditionally and digitally at Southern Utah University, where he has directed the Illustration Program since 2001.
His students have received national recognition from the Society of Illustrators and have found success in the entertainment and publishing industries. He takes great pride in their achievements and looks for any opportunities to help them in their pursuits.
Ben is grateful for the encouragement and support of his family and friends along with the generosity of fellow artists that continue to teach and inspire him.
He and his wife Connie enjoy life with their six daughters and a son in Cedar City, UT.
Robison Wells is the author of the YA science-fiction thriller, Variant (HarperTeen 2011), and of Feedback (HarperTeen, Oct 2012). Variant was named as one of Publishers Weekly’s Best Books of 2011, and one of the YALSA Picks for Reluctant Readers. His second series, Blackout (HarperTeen 2013) was called "Fantastic! A thrilling combination of Wells' trademark twists and terror" by Ally Condie.
